    RECIPE OF THE MONTH

    SAVORY BREAKFAST BREAD CASSEROLE
    Savory Breakfast of the Month!

    2 cups cream
    4 eggs
    1 t sage
    1 t basil
    1 t black pepper
    2 t salt
    1 t onion powder
    5 day old biscuits
½ pound spicy pork sausage, cooked and drained
    ½ cup Mozzarella Cheese
    ½ cup Sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup chopped broccoli, asparagus, or spinach

This recipe came about as a result of needing to use up leftover ingredients before they went bad. But it has turned out to be a guest favorite.

Put 2 C cream, 4 eggs, and spices in a mixing bowl and whip together. To this mixture add 5 jumbo fluffy biscuits that have been torn into small pieces. Add sausage, cheeses and chopped broccoli. Mix well in 9x9 cake pan or oblong cooking dish. (Prep time – Aprox 15 minutes. I usually have the sausage precooked and frozen for various recipes.)

Place in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes. Check the casserole. It should rise slightly and be golden brown on top. The inside should be moist but not runny. If runny, put it back in as needed.

    This serves about 8 people.
